Job Title: Director of Transcription & Translation Operations

The Director of Transcription & Translation Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of transcription as well as translation services. This role involves managing a team of project managers, quality assurance team(s), freelance transcriptionists, vendor management, coordinating with other departments, and implementing strategies to improve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction. It is essential that this person is experienced in the transcription and translation industry and that they have experience interacting with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of project managers, QA team members and transcriptionists.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and efficiency.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
2. Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily transcription workflow to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Monitor and improve the accuracy and quality of transcriptions.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for transcription services.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure the proper functioning of transcription tools and systems.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of transcription accuracy.
- Address and resolve any issues or errors in transcriptions.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of transcription work.
4. Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding transcription services.
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with services.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand and meet client needs.
- Have a “client first” mindset.
5. Project Management:
- Oversee the planning and execution of transcription projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage resource allocation and scheduling to meet project deadlines.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in transcription technology.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transcription services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of managing a team and improving operational efficiency.
Skills:

- Proficient in transcription software and tools.

Salary Estimation:
